Description
Sandra JAYAT – A guest book and compilation of Sandra Jayat’s poetic and artistic journey, from 1978 to 1992, featuring most of her exhibitions in various galleries, enriched with richly illustrated invitation cards. This commemorative book, which recalls her professional life, comprises an elegant collage of several cut-out and photocopied dedications, sometimes accompanied by a few original handwritten dedications. Scattered throughout the pages are press cuttings and press releases. Among the few original signatures are business cards and various letters, including those from Félix Marten, Colonel Remy, Marcel Aymé’s daughter, and the publisher Jean-Jacques Nathan, amongst others. At the end of this guest book, one can see the market value of her works, displayed in several galleries, along with a corresponding list of prices. Included are around fifteen original photographs, featuring Sandra Jayat alongside Gypsy musicians. Two photo albums are also included. The first contains numerous reprints on paper based on the original photographs. The second album features many dedications from enthusiasts, admirers, friends and public figures, most of which are photocopies (the originals of which will appear later under various headings). Nevertheless, there is a charming signed dedication from the guitarist and youngest son of Django Reinhardt, Babik (a dedication with a small drawing of a guitar), as well as from Bernadette Chirac, Mrs Georges Pompidou, the painter Serge, and others… The three albums.
