A vermeil sewing kit comprising a thimble, a needle holder, a vermeil threader, an awl and a pair of vermeil-and-steel scissors. All housed in an oval wooden case with a hinged lid, the top of which is made of tortoiseshell with a cartouche, a brass border and edging, and the interior lined with beige fabric and velvet.
