"Humphrey and his fan club. Circa 1952. Story planned for issue no. 23 of Humphrey Comics magazine, which never came out (the series, published by Harvey from 1948 to 1952, only ran for 22 issues). Handwritten annotations in Indian ink in the margin. Title pasted down. In the 1940s, Al Avison worked for Captain America Comics, Marvel Mystery Comics and Green Hornet Comics.
