Description
Sèvres Three porcelain plates decorated in gold with a central rosette formed of palmettes and, on the rim, garlands of foliage held in place by rosettes and ribbons against a blue background. Marked: 10.11.12 in green and Tz, along with various marks in gold dating to 1813; the Sèvres marks have been erased (to be confirmed) Empire period, 1813. These three plates most likely originate from the ‘fond beau bleu’ service with a gold frieze, supplied for the Emperor’s table at the Tuileries Palace from 1808 onwards. Five plates were delivered on 17 January 1814. Expert: Mr Cyril Froissart
