Ernest CHAPLET (1835–1909) and Albert DAMMOUSE (1848–1926) for HAVILAND Cie A jug with a handle, made of natural stoneware, partially flamed, with incised and applied decoration, enhanced with enamel and gilding, depicting a mulberry branch. Monogrammed ‘A.D.’ beneath the handle, and bearing the ‘E.C.’ stamp on the rosary motif beneath the base, as well as an inscription in ink. H: 23 cm According to Jean d’Albis, author of the book *Jean Chaplet*, this is a decorative style from the final period of the Haviland Paris art workshops, which he terms ‘cloisonnisme’, marking a break with the Impressionist period.
