PAIR OF baluster-shaped vases in crackled-effect earthenware, glazed in polychrome and gold, with Japanese-style decoration featuring branches laden with fruit, fish, birds, insects, cartouches and scholars’ objects. On pedestals, with gilded bronze handles and bands decorated with dragons and butterflies. Marked ‘S.D’ and ‘St Denis’ on the reverse; the bronze parts are numbered 33701. Saint-Denis Manufactory, founded by Émile le Bos around 1890. Height: 30 cm.
