Description
SECOND VATICAN COUNCIL: SET OF SIX MANIPLES in a blend of cotton, polyester, silk and silk velvet, in liturgical colours, comprising FOUR in the colours of the ‘Privilegio del bianco’, ONE in the colours of Ordinary Time and ONE in the colours of penance (shows signs of wear). Height: 34 cm. Circa 1960. Included is ONE ALTAR CLOTH in Ordinary Time colours, made of linen embroidered in the Quimper glazik stitch with a ring motif, featuring the Ichthus as a common symbol of Saint Corentin. Dimensions: 110 x 220 cm. Provenance: formerly in the possession of Breton nuns responsible for liturgical linens.
