Description
PAIR OF FLY SWATTERS AND THEIR TRAY in silver, PARIS 1809–1819 by Claude DORGUEIL. Oval in shape with curved edges, resting on four ‘claw’ feet, the tray is fitted with two handles and features, in its centre, two fly-swatter holders flanking the initials ‘J.M.L’. The snuffer, also marked with initials on the back of the snuffer bowl, features a shaft adorned with a floral knob (the tip of the spout is missing and one leg is twisted). Weight: 184.5 g. Total length: 18 cm. Width: 7 cm. Height: 6.3 cm.
