LE CORBUSIER (1887–1965), PIERRE JEANNERET (1896–1967) AND CHARLOTTE PERRIAND (1903–1999) – DESIGNERS & CASSINA – MANUFACTURER ‘LC4’ model created around [1928] Reclining chaise longue. The base is in black lacquered metal; the seat features a chrome-plated tubular metal frame supporting a cushion upholstered in black leather. Complete with its headrest, also upholstered in black leather. Signed in facsimile by LE CORBUSIER, stamped with the CASSINA manufacturer’s mark and engraved with the number LC4 78842 beneath the chrome plating on the tubular metal, and bearing the CASSINA publisher’s stamp and a facsimile signature of LE CORBUSIER on the base; the Jaconas fabric is also marked CASSINA.
