CHINA, 20th century. A baluster-shaped porcelain vase with a curved base, a high, bulging shoulder surmounted by a long cylindrical neck that flares at the opening, featuring a polychrome enamel decoration of elegant figures in circular cartouches on the body, the background adorned with lotus scrolls and bats against a turquoise background. An apocryphal six-character Qianlong mark beneath the base. Height: 27 cm. Minor chips to the enamel, wear to the gilding, scratches, and a small chip on the reverse.
