Small rectangular mother-of-pearl box with a silver frame, hinged lid; the mother-of-pearl is decorated with a rosette and a cord motif repeated on the background; the interior of the frame was originally vermeilled. Dated from the late 18th or early 19th century, hallmarked ‘Cygne 800°/°°’. L. 7 cm. Gross weight: 58 g. Very minor chips to the corners of the lid’s mount.
