A large, pear-shaped silver tripod jug; the upper section features a laurel wreath between two rows of beads, echoed on the rim of the hinged, domed lid, the body shaped like a ribbed seed resting on a base of palmettes and foliage scrolls; a blackened wooden handle with a riveted coil at the top, resting on two discs with a stylised leaf motif; a spout in the shape of a bird’s head; clawed feet with palmette attachments and a Zephyr’s head.
