King’s Guard pistol, 1st type, model 1814–1815, flintlock with a lock plate marked ‘Maubeuge Manuf Royale’, round barrel with flat sides at the muzzle, brass fittings including a trigger guard and cap adorned with fleurs-de-lis, metal ramrod. The barrel has lost its engravings. 387 pairs of pistols of this type were manufactured in Maubeuge in 1815
