Description
Borghild ARNESEN (1872–1950). A pair of patinated bronze stemmed bowls depicting stylised dolphins. The silver-plated dishes feature repoussé and chiselled decoration of anemones, crabs and turtles on one, and caterpillars on the other. A bronze dolphin or caterpillar, in the round, is set on the wings. Monogrammed on the wing and dated 1904. H: 14 – Diameter: 24.5 cm. Losses to the silver plating. Provenance: Former DEMELETTE collection.
