Description
Borghild ARNESEN (1872–1950). Silver-plated reliquary with chiselled decoration featuring gazelles, ibex, a frog, a phoenix and a rabbit. The corners are adorned with decorative studs and purple costume jewellery cabochons. Etched with the signature on the underside of the lid, dated 1902 and located in Haute Claire. H: 28 – W: 26.5 – D: 17 cm. Some loss of silver plating, stains and a small, damaged purple bead. Provenance: Former DEMELETTE collection.
