Original sketch, gouache on paper, mounted on canvas, dated 1894, size 55 x 40 cm, signed lower left and dated 96.
Handwritten comments in pencil: ‘Would the female figure look better facing forwards? ’ and ‘For PALAIS de GLACE, larger lettering’. These comments were taken into account and the final design was printed by the Chaix printing works in the size 59 x 40 cm.
