Wittmann (1846–1921), publisher and ceramist; the Mougin brothers, Nancy, two stoneware sculptures depicting a pair of Lorraine peasants, signed on the rims and marked on the base ‘Mougin Nancy’ with the mould numbers 6039 and 7084, early 20th century: the man, ‘E. Wattmann Mougin Nancy’ engraved on and beneath the plinth, height 41.5 cm; and the seated woman, ‘E. Wattmann 6039 Mougin Nancy’ engraved on and beneath the plinth, height 28 cm (small chip to the plinth). In good overall condition, with slight chipping and normal wear and tear. (estimate: €40–80)
