Album of photographs.
Oblong folio (38.8 × 55.5 cm), red chagrin, framed with cold filets, gilt arms in the centre of the boards, spine with muted nerves, gilt edges (period binding).
A fine album of 109 photographs on albumen paper of North Africa, probably Algeria, showing towns, architectural features, portraits, types, landscapes, etc. One of the photographs shows a map of North Africa. One of the photographs shows a map of north-west Africa, with routes marked in red and blue and towns (probably those shown) indicated.
A drawing is pasted on one page, depicting a village in the palm trees, located in Biskra.
Attached are 7 loose photographs on the same subjects. Some photos a little faded, but very nice set.
