Pet. in-4 (24.1 × 19.2 cm) half ochre basane, smooth spine decorated with gilt and cold fillets (mid 19th c. binding).
A fine collection of 45 lithographed and hand-watercoloured plates of crustaceans. Each plate is accompanied by a descriptive text.
Long handwritten note by Pierre Marins Reboul "amateur naturalist" at the head of the volume, entitled: "de la recherche des crustacés". The end of the volume is filled with blank leaves, probably placed at the request of this amateur.
Binding very slightly rubbed. Some light dampstaining (to be expected for a book on crustaceans) and very light foxing.
