A French piece from the second half of the 19th century
A substantial hinged pendant in 750‰ rose and yellow gold, adorned with the coat of arms of the Félix family, the coat of arms surmounted by a scroll bearing their motto ‘FELICES FUERUNT FIDELES’ in blue enamel, a baroque cultured pearl added later as a pendant, the bail enhanced with non-original half-pearls.
Horse’s Head hallmark, Departments, 1838–1919 (Avignon variant).
