BOUCHERON Paris
Rare and significant ‘Fleur’ secret-compartment brooch
Circa 1940–50
Crafted from 18-carat yellow gold (750) and platinum (950), stylised to resemble a blooming corolla.
The hinged centre, entirely set with brilliant-cut diamonds, forms a domed structure that opens via a concealed push-button. It reveals a circular gold dial with painted Arabic numerals and blued steel sword-shaped hands. Mechanical movement with manual winding.
The polished yellow gold petals, interspersed with chiselled green gold leaves, are delicately sculpted, edged and set with rows of brilliant-cut diamonds.
Triple safety pin system on the reverse.
Signed ‘BOUCHERON PARIS’ on the back of the case.
French hallmarks (Eagle’s Head and Dog’s Head).
Gross weight: 38 g
Diameter: 45 mm
Condition: Very good condition. The secret opening mechanism is fully functional. The movement was in working order at the time of the valuation (a routine service is recommended).
