An American flute maker, Emanuel Arista has been crafting high-end transverse flutes and flute heads for several decades. Based in Boston, he specialises in bespoke craftsmanship, paying particular attention to the acoustics, sound projection and individual character of each instrument.
His work follows in the tradition of the great French flutes, whilst incorporating his own research into materials and acoustic design. In particular, he crafts instruments and headjoints in silver, gold and platinum, intended primarily for professional flautists.
His flutes are now played by several leading musicians and are sought after for their tonal qualities, their handcrafted construction and their personalised character.
