René Jules LALIQUE (1860–1945), ‘Young Girls’ Heads with Swallows’ pendant/brooch in 18K yellow gold (750/000) featuring two profiles of women with loose hair mingling with a swarm of slate-blue enamelled swallows against a background of opalescent plique-à-jour enamel.
Removable pin mechanism for conversion into a pendant.
Signed ‘LALIQUE’ on one edge.
Circa 1898–1900.

(very minor loss of enamel on some birds and on the reverse; pendant bead missing)
