Cartier - Circa 1916
Desk clock in silver (800 thousandths) with purple and white enamel.
Case: circular in silver and translucent violet enamel on guilloché of falling rays, bezel decorated with white enamel pastilles and filet on the case middle, small star rose in the centre on the reverse, Eugène Bako hallmark on the mounting, Parisian work (boar's head).
Screwed brass plate at 6 o'clock with winding mechanism, signed and numbered 2387.
Dial: white enamel, painted Breguet numeral hour markers, gilt outer track minute track, hands set with rose-cut diamonds, signed Cartier, glass missing.
Movement: mechanical, circular in gilt brass, lever escapement, compensated balance wheel, blued steel Breguet balance spring, unsigned.
Diameter: 47 mm - Thickness: 15 mm - Gross weight: 135.4 g
