Description
Jacques GRUBER (1870–1936), Nancy – Lorraine. A striking Art Nouveau mirror in carved oak, decorated with poppy motifs (a symbol of the Night; this mirror may have been intended for a bedroom). The original bevelled glass and what appear to be three acid-etched stained-glass panels were unfortunately replaced at a later date with modern mirror panes. Circa 1900. Height: 173.5 cm – width: 103 cm. Provenance: private collection, Lorraine.
