Description
VATICAN. Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem (reorganised in 1847). A superb Commander’s Cross for men, likely in vermeil (unhallmarked), featuring a military trophy in high relief suspended from a loop and engraved on the reverse. Manufactured by ROTHE in Vienna. 20th century. Height: 12.5 cm. Presented in a case by Marie-Stuart, at the Palais-Royal in Paris. A small chip in the thickness of the enamel at the tip of one arm on the reverse. A pin featuring the Cross of Jerusalem is included.
