Alphonse MUCHA (1860-1939), after. The Language of Flowers. Print on velvet, on a mauve background. Signed lower right in the background. Manufacture Hines, Stroud & Co, London, circa 1900. In its original frame, with passe-partout with the artist's name, gilded on the bevel (glass missing). 58.5 x 74.5 cm (as seen). Some foxing. A copy is in the Victoria and Albert Museum inv (T.316-1965). Bibliography: Album de la Décoration, A. Calavas, Paris, 1900. Vol II pl 35. The design is very similar to the "Project for a wall hanging for the Atelier K.G. Forrer".
