An extremely rare collection of Polymita picta snails displayed in a glass and stained wood case (late 19th-century case) The name derives from the Greek and means ‘many painted stripes’; these snails are endemic to Cuba and are considered the most beautiful in the world, with each shell being unique. They live year-round high up in the trees, in the canopy, and come down once a year to reproduce H. 31 cm – W. 38.5 cm – D. 32 cm CITES certificate obtained on 13/02/2025.
