Description
Rémi LACOMBE (20th - 21st centuries). Ovoid vase in blue speckled enamelled stoneware with reserve decoration from the world of the "Shadoks", artist's mark on left side, label on reverse "Rémi Lacombe". Height 22 cm - Width: 11.5 cm - Depth: 4 cm First broadcast in 1968, Jacques Rouxel's Shadoks left their mark on French television with their absurdist humour, deliberately schematic drawings and famous maxims, including the unforgettable "Why make things simple when you can make them complicated? Their silhouettes of clumsy birds, perched between graphic poetry and nonsense, quickly became familiar figures in popular culture. The The contrast between the sober form of the object and the fantasy of the decoration gives the piece a playful and unexpected character. Lot from a voluntary sale.
