Description
DAUM - NANCY
Table lamp in orange and green acid-etched multi-layered glass. The bulbous four-lobed lampshade is decorated with a lake landscape. The baluster base has a metal frame decorated with chestnut leaves, and the circular base has three grommets with Art Nouveau motifs (accidents, minor damage and restoration). Restored electric assembly.

Alongside Gallé, the DAUM glassworks established itself as one of the great names of the Nancy School. From the end of the XIXᵉ century, the factory developed a decorative language marked by the observation of nature: flowers, foliage, waterscapes or atmospheric effects became favoured motifs, transposed into glass by the superimposition of layers, etching and engraving.
