Description
An unpublished waistcoat from Jean-Charles de Castelbajac's early days, around 1974. An ethnically inspired waistcoat using the primary colours red, yellow and blue. Drawing inspiration from the western world, Mayan and Aztec civilisations and the Egypt of the pharaohs, the designer uses noble basic materials such as yellow cotton canvas, leather and suede. Straight-cut waistcoat fastened at the front with four branded buttons and two side slit pockets. Meticulous leather appliqué work on cotton with crenellated graphics, showing an Egyptian eye on the back and leather fringes revealing a star under a triangle. No lining and black graphic white satin label indicating Jcdecastelbajac, News size M. Years 1975 -1985. Very good conditionExpert : Serge LIAGRE
