A LARGE silver VERSEUSE (950) of baluster form on pedestal with friezes of palmettes, laurel leaves and pearls, the body decorated with six vestals in antique style in bas-relief, spout with ram's head underlined with palmettes, hinged domed lid with flower bud frétel on rosette. Carved handle (defects).
Engraved with the coat of arms of Maréchal d'Empire Jean Andoche Junot (1771-1813).
Marks second cock and average guarantee of Paris (1809-1819) and big census of Province, possibly Versailles (1819-1838).
