Called up in 1940, Georges Delevallez was sent to Algeria, where he became involved in the Algerian art scene.
After being demobilised, he remained in Algeria until 1955 and continued his work in France, whilst continuing to work as a primary school teacher.
These glass artists have always worked in pairs on engraved stained-glass windows and églomisé glass works. The artist paints onto a sheet of glass. He then adds coloured varnish, before gluing sheets of metal to the reverse side.
