Colt – US Cavalry SAA Manufactured in 1883 – Serial number 94XXX – Calibre 45 The weapon of choice for the cavalry during the conquest of the West, this revolver has remained in excellent condition. The metal parts have taken on a lovely light grey patina, with traces of the original burnish remaining on the less exposed areas and marbling on the hammer. The markings are authentic and clearly visible, with numerous markings by the inspector D.F.C. (frame, barrel, cylinder) and the famous ‘U.S.’ The mechanism is in exceptional condition, with no play or clearance, and featuring the four clearly defined Colt clicks. The stock is made of wood and is in excellent condition. The barrel has a flawless mirror-finish bore with deep rifling – 10/10. The firearm is supplied with its St Etienne certificate of classification in category D.
