Description
HIROSHIGE (1797–1858) Ehon Edo Miyage: ni-hen, ‘Illustrated Souvenirs of Edo’, vol. 2, published by Kinkô-do. 10 volumes published between 1850 and 1867 (vols. 8–10 posthumous, by Hiroshige II). In the first edition of 1850, the first four books were distinguished by the four cardinal directions. Not the case with our copy, which is probably a later edition. Two albums are included: a small one containing pasted sketches, some based on prints by Hiroshige; and a larger one with collages by various artists, including Hiroshige.
