To celebrate Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday (18 November), Damien Hirst, in collaboration with Swatch, created the New Gent Special MIRROR SPOT MICKEY, limited to 19,999 pieces worldwide. Damien Hirst is a British sculptor, painter and conceptual artist. In a nod to the earliest drawings of Mickey Mouse, the famous cartoon character is depicted in a stylised manner on the dial and the frosted silicone strap. As the name suggests, the dial is a mirror and the hands represent Mickey’s arms. The watch’s inlay features three drawings of Mickey, created by Walt Disney in 1928.
