2024 SWATCH X JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT TRIPTYCH – Limited Edition Set Swatch New Gent Special (SZS39) A rare set that is highly sought-after by collectors The limited-edition SWATCH X JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT TRIPTYCH set comprises three New Gent watches from the Art Journey collection, each featuring a unique detail (double buckle and a seconds hand in an exclusive colour). The special packaging features an illustration by Basquiat (© Jean-Michel Basquiat Estate. Under licence from Artestar, New York). Jean-Michel Basquiat was an American artist, painter and draughtsman. His works are among the most prized art objects of the 20th century, and he was the first African-American artist to break into the predominantly white art world. The three watches feature a reproduction of the paintings (Ishtar, Untitled (Crown), Africans in Hollywood). They are fitted with a double clasp and a seconds hand in a different colour to that of the non-limited edition watches. UNTITLED BY JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT Swatch New Gent Special (SUOZ355) The painting ‘Untitled (Crown)’ is a collage of acrylic, ink and paper on canvas, created in 1982. Detailed views of the artwork are visible on the soft silicone strap. The dial showcases the movement with its imposing crown and silver-coloured hands. The case is made of black plastic.
