Description
* Marie Noëlle DE LA POYPE (born in 1949) Untitled Relief panel in crushed strawberry polycarbonate Monogrammed MNP, dated 02 and numbered 18/300 in the bottom left corner 171 x 46 cm The Countess works equally with organic materials – such as marine bones (sculptures, jewellery) which have a totemic quality – and industrial materials, and for good reason: she is the wife of the Count de la Poype, inventor of the Mehari and founder of Marineland. She works in her studio, drawing inspiration from the polycarbonate used in the Mehari, and goes on to create sculptures using this material. A Belgian, she was a top-level athlete and holds a doctorate in law. She exhibits her work all over the world, in Asia, Monaco and the United States.
