At the time, César was living with the owner of the ‘Tea-pot’ in Nice: the ‘teapot’ is therefore an affectionate nickname for his partner at the time.
During a meal at a client’s house, César met Jean Gismondi and Chantal Helenbeck; he was invited to the Bastide du Roi, where he settled for around two years. It was he who would launch the Helenbeck sisters’ careers.
