IMPORTANT CARVED OAK DINING ROOM PANELLING A set of panelling forming the complete décor of a dining room, in moulded and richly carved oak, totalling approximately 28.30 linear metres. The panelling consists of rectangular and arched panels punctuated by pilasters and twisted columns. The panels are carved in high relief with foliage scrolls, fleurons, rosettes, cut-out leather motifs, cartouches and heraldic motifs, some arranged around shields and symmetrical ornamental compositions. The four pairs of monumental doors are set within imposing architectural frames featuring projecting cornices, friezes of foliage and carved mouldings. Their door leaves are adorned with bevelled panels and relief compositions featuring fleurons and cartouches. The ensemble also includes the frames of four windows and numerous panelled woodwork sections. The monumental fireplace consists of a carved mantelpiece framed by ornate side panels and surmounted by a large trumeau with a mirror, flanked by twisted columns. The upper section is crowned by a sculpted pediment featuring scrollwork and a central cartouche. This is complemented by a substantial panelled sideboard with a lower section opening via several carved doors and an upper glazed section with three doors, also punctuated by twisted columns. It is crowned by a cornice and a pediment featuring a cartouche and scrollwork.
