Original poster presenting André Brasilier's exhibition at the Galerie André Weil in Paris. Born in Saumur in 1929, André Brasilier is a French painter and lithographer. A student at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he was awarded the Grand Prix de Rome in 1953. A major figurative artist of the twentieth century, he developed a recognisable poetic universe, marked by equestrian scenes, landscapes and female figures, often treated in a restrained, harmonious palette. Printed by the Mourlot workshop, a leading centre for art lithography in the 20th century.
