Original poster produced for the Climat 66 exhibition at the Musée de Grenoble in 1966, featuring a work by Maurice Estève entitled Composition 885 A. Our poster, printed in 10 colours, is based on the much sought-after lithograph entitled "Grisande" and was printed in an edition of 100 copies. Ref: M39. A major painter of twentieth-century French abstraction, Estève developed a pictorial language based on the balance of forms, the rigorous construction of colour and a strongly structured lyrical abstraction, often inspired by nature and organic rhythms. Printed by the Mourlot studio in Paris, this poster is in the great tradition of art lithographs associated with the major French museum exhibitions of the 1960s.
