Not backed. Condition A. Perfect condition. Lithographic reprint in 1966 of a poster designed by Aubrey Beardsley in 1894 to promote children's books published by T. Fisher Unwin. A major figure in British Art Nouveau, Beardsley's style was instantly recognisable, based on contrasting black and white, extreme stylisation and sinuous lines influenced by Japanese prints. This image belongs to the period of renewal of the illustrated poster in England at the end of the 19th century.
