UNIDENTIFIED FRENCH PHOTOGRAPHER
MONTMARTRE, PARIS AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, 1899–1902.
A substantial oblong folio album (28 x 40 cm), comprising approximately 600
silver gelatine and albumin prints, plus around twenty older prints on salted paper,
glued on both sides of 78 plates. Period cardboard binding in
poor condition, coming apart and fragile to handle. Handwritten captions in ink
dated on paper labels glued to the mounts
Most prints are well-contrasted and in good condition.
Print sizes: 8 x 5 cm to 12 x 15.5 cm
