ADOLPHE TERRIS (1820–1899) PREPARATORY WORKS AND CONSTRUCTION OF RUE IMPERIALE IN MARSEILLE, 1863–1866 Portfolio opening with a title page dedicated to Emperor Napoleon III, to Senator De Maupas, to the Mayors of the City during the works: Bernex and Rouvière, to Emile Pereire, Chairman of the Compagnie Immobilière; to the engineers who worked under the direction of the architect Ponthieu of the Compagnie Immobilière; and to the project’s financiers. A collection of 15 albumen prints based on collodion glass negatives, mounted on card with a caption, date and facsimile of the photographer’s signature printed on the mounts.
