Marcel DE RENZIS
Marcel de Renzis (1910–1998) worked before the war for *Le Petit
Marseillais* and for the Keystone agency, for which he was a correspondent.
One of his photo reports from 1942 illustrated “The regeneration of Marseille
and the Beaudoin Plan” and appeared in the magazine “L’Illustration”.
His photographs document the history of the city of
Marseille and its inhabitants, from the destruction of the
working-class neighbourhoods by the Nazis to the reconstruction work by Pouillon
and Le Corbusier, as well as cultural life: film shoots,
musical performances, etc.
