La Môme Moineau, whose real name was Lucienne Suzanne Dhotelle (née Lucienne Suzanne Vreurick), was a famous French singer and socialite of the 20th century. Born in 1908 into a modest background, she began her career as a street singer before finding success in the Parisian cabarets. Her career took her to the United States, where she married a wealthy Puerto Rican businessman. Having become immensely wealthy, she led an extravagant life, dividing her time between Paris, New York and the Côte d’Azur. She remains an iconic figure of Paris during the Roaring Twenties.
