Description
Ghoum silk carpet (silk warp, weft and pile), central Persia, circa 1950–1980.
200 x 134 cm
The carpet is adorned with a large, elongated red central medallion, flanked by two pendants and enhanced by a small polychrome medallion on an ivory ground featuring a geometric floral design.
The entire composition is embellished with four spandrels. A red border with floral motifs is framed by two counter-borders.
The carpet is signed.
