Provenance : Charles PITT Music Collection Charles Pitt was a British-born music critic and historian. He chose to settle in France, where he wrote for the magazine He was an active member of the Syndicat professionnel de la critique. Through his numerous articles, he has helped to democratise English music in France, and also to raise awareness of lesser-known operas such as those from India, Vietnam and Mauritius.
