Cones and discs: our lamps, or identical models, feature throughout the interior decoration of the Château de Maulny, designed by Jean-Charles Moreux around 1929–1930
A rare pair of modernist lamps, each with two lights, designed as table-end lamps, in nickel-plated metal. The circular bases rest on coiled legs. The double lamp arms are adorned with spheres at the base and at the top. The conical lampshades are made of frosted glass and topped with nickel-plated metal cones. Each lamp features a large nickel-plated metal disc at its centre. Circa 1930. The glass lampshades have been replaced; two additional ones are included, one of which has two chips. Each lamp is marked ‘LA CREMAILLERE Made in France’ beneath the base. H. 36.5 cm W. 36.5 cm
